Thank You

A sweet Thank You to all of the contributors who have put their hard work and effort into UB Eating What to give us all a better understanding of Food Justice. These are the scholars that have made it possible to get quick facts and knowledge to the scenes behind all of the big company doors.

I want people to know about food justice so they know what's in their food because half the people in this world don't even know if their eating something that could kill them  or harm their body in someway. Example: hormones put in animals and GMO seeds that probably contain bomb material.
This was my first time doing a blog and I have to say it was a great experience and I wouldn't change a thing, I worked with a wonderful TC and I loved the people I did it with. ;)

I want people to know about food justice because they should know where their food came from and how it may or may not affect their health. Food is essential to us, so it's absolutely important to know what we can and can't consume (it's the omnivores dilemma!).

I want people to learn that no food is healthy for them. also I want to promote better food habits not because I think that everybody is doing it, but because it really works and I know that through experience.
I like this blog because I want people to learn to at least look twice about what their going to eat in both the present and the future.

Brianna Mattos-Akey
I want people to have a better understanding as to what's really going on, when it comes to their food.
When people visit and read this blog, I want them to know that we aren't trying to force any ideas on them, but  that this blog is mainly here to  help you think in a different perspective, even learn new things as you read on.

Adam Roberts: Director of Blog

Getting food is one of the few things we all need to do, so figuring out how to do it in a way that works for our communities seems like an important issue. Also, it can be easy to focus on what's wrong with our food. If there's one thing I'd like to keep in mind, it's that there are so many amazing people out there everyday working on solutions--and that we can each be one of them.
I'm very proud of our group this summer. The students have handled everything, from writing to research to editing to design. Go UB!

Food justice is more than just a fad or catchy tune; it is a strive towards the understanding of every aspect of our food. The good, bad, and real ugly, its all here. I am present to be your investigator to explain and support what you want to know about food. I have very strong opinions so feel free to argue or agree with my topics and beliefs. You, my readers, are the most important to me. So let's go explore food :D

I want people to know about Food Justice so they aren't ignorant.
We students take this blog just as seriously as we take Food Justice. This isn't just a school project, but a world debate.

Jocelyn Adorno
I want people to know about food justice because it’s occurring in our society right now and no one seems to notice or care as long as food is put in our tummies . It disrespects the animals! And all the disease we can get from food being processed this way.

Alexander Interlande
I want people to know that food justice is important; to get the word out. Many people don't even know what food justice means and I feel like that is not okay. Why should we just keep consuming food that is barley natural? People deserve to know about their food.
I think that the blog is a great recourse not only for learning about food justice, but for personally making a change in the name of the cause. It provides opportunities to reform some eating habits for the better that can lead to a healthier lifestyle. And if not that, then the learning portion of the blog is great too.

The reason that I want people to learn about food justice is because they should know and be aware on the ways their food is produced, and what is put into their food. Not just that but to also learn about the workers and how they are treated. The UB blog is a good source for people to educate themselves about their food and what they are eating.
I want people to understand the concepts of Food Justice because people should know where their food has been, how its traveled from being picked to your plate, and how many people touched your food.
I think that everyone has worked really hard on the blog and all of our accomplishment will show and prove to others what we have learned. This blog has also brought us all together as a community and we have demonstrated an impact on our lives today.

I want people to know that there is more to their food than they can possibly  imagine. I   want to cause an awareness in this world about the companies that are taking control of our bodies with the food they sell us. I hope to one day raise this awareness to the point where we can begin revolting against these big companies and go back to eating healthier.  I wish that one day I will be able to go to school and eat fresh nutritious fruits rather than the typical cardboard mac & cheese they serve at school.

Maybe this blog will bring reality to the minds of those who eat unhealthy and help us all realize that this injustice of food needs to end.

Alvin Alleyne-Lovell
I believe that Food Justice is the driving force behind being aware of what we as people eat. People need to become more aware that inorganic food is causing health concerns in not only adults but children as well.

I want people to know about food justice because most consumers don't always know where their food comes from. People don't always think about the hidden story behind their everyday meal. We assume that most of our food is good for us but we're wrong. Through our blog we want people to know the truth about their food and food justice.

I think our blog has come a long way and it's making good progress.

People should know about food justice so they are aware of what and how their food is made, where it comes from and if it’s healthy or not. The more people that know about this the easier it will be to take actions and make change.
The blog is a place where everyone can place their thoughts about food issues that they think people and other students should know about. In my opinion the blog is very good so far and is developing into a place where people can check new and important things about food and food justice.

Meredith Brown
I want people to know, because everyone has a right to. And not many people know about their food, and all the problems with it, so I also want to make people aware of what’s going on.
I’m one of the site's designer's. And all the stories, polls, and everything else you see on the blog was student made. We have worked very hard on this, and we are proud of it. :)

Vinicius Barreiros
It is important to know about food justice because people need to know what they are consuming. People need to realize what goes into making the food they eat.

This blog is a great place to learn about foods and what’s good and bad about them. It is also a good place to share your own thoughts and ideas on these posts.

Katherine Casado Berg
I want people to know about food justice because it relates directly to them. We are the consumers, we’re the ones buying the food and contributing to the success of those company owners who take advantage of the animals and the unpaid workers. We have a voice in all of this but we aren’t exercising it as much as we’re capable to and that’s because of the lack of knowledge we have about what goes on behind the closed doors of the factories where our food is produced. By telling people about food justice we are enlightening them on the truth of what’s on their plate.

Our Food Justice Blog looks amazing and we have put a lot of time, dedication and effort into it and that is shown by surfing through the page.
