I am most interested in seeing information about how people produce the food, the farm workers and how they're treated.
2. Are you serious about food justice or will you go home later on and eat a pesticide burger?
I’m a vegan since January, it is hard at times but its worth it.
3. How/Why did you get interested in food justice?
When I was in college I was part of a COOP named ‘Fair Child’ and it was entirely student run. We grew our own food and we didn’t buy things like bananas because of the history of where they came from.
4. How do you feel about the cows, chickens, and pigs being injected with growth hormones?
I think it’s awful! I once worked herding sheeps and goats. It got me very close to the animals.
5. What is the first thing you think of when you hear “Food Justice”?
I think about the community. Some people in the community don’t have access to healthy food. If we had food justice, people would be able to eat healthy all the time
6. Has food justice changed what you eat?
In regular life, I think so.
7. How do you think you can get the word out about food justice in the Community?
The way to get the word out is to talk about it. Talk about it with your community and start a garden, get a group together, things like that will get the word out in your area.
8. Extra Comments: Part of the reason I’m a vegan is because I try to stay away from violence through what I eat and everyday life.
